Organisation
On 22nd October 2003, the WCO with its first acting governing artistic board was formally initiated as a non-profit organisation in Kronberg/Germany.
Raimund Trenkler has agreed to undertake the position of Coordinator to facilitate the establishment of the WCO and its governing board.
In addition there will be chosen a temporary directors board:
- a volunteering contact person of each country,
- no specific number, but not more than one from each country
- a specific number of young cellists will be considered
- Board will rotate in the forth coming years to allow representatives of all generations
Board members will help to support the network with information about cello activities in their respective countries
The Board will support host gatherings of the WCO which shall take place in different countries
As so many cello-related activities have originated from Kronberg, the initial planning of the organisation would best be situated in that city.
